Take the road to Salinas, the starting point of the Ruta del Sol and one of the most famous and oldest beaches in Ecuador. It is one of the favorite places of families and friends for holidays, full of sun, waves and fun.

This coastal city has a city landscape as well as other radically different, where contact with nature prevails. A few minutes away is the coastal marine reserve located in the Puntilla de Salinas, with three main points that are linked by trails to the delight of the visitor. These main points are: El Morro viewpoint, Chocolatera, and Lobería.

Guayaquil – Quito

The tour begins at the hotel, to the summit of the Itchimbia Hill. It is at 2 900 mts., and it is a natural lookout point due to the great view that you get to Quito Historic Center in either way. The park includes: 6 489 meters of green areas and 1 200 meters of community spaces. It has 54 hectares with about 400 varieties of flowers, 40 species of birds and one hectare of wetland. Its main attraction is the Cultural Center or Crystal House. Its old structure of iron and zinc was imported from Hamburg. We continue by 12 de Octubre Avenue, the Legislative Palace with Midero’s mural (called The History of the Country), the Alameda Park with its Astronomic Observatory in Quito, the second oldest of South America, Simon Bolivar’s monument, the Central Bank of Ecuador and Quito’s Basilica. Reach the heart of the colonial area, the Independence Square, a walk by Quito’s Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, El Sagrario Church, La Compañía Church, San Francisco Monastery and Church, we will end at El Panecillo, a small hill where you can enjoy a full sight of the city.

After that go to the lower slopes of the Pichincha volcano, it has 160 hectares among the rides and games at Vulcano Park. The TELEFERICO will take you from 3045 mt to 4050 mt high. Over there you can be close to the sky, you will have a marvelous view of the city, the surrounding valleys, the beautiful snow-capped mountains and volcanoes.

Equatorial line & Pucará de Rumichuco

09h00 Meet your guide for the tour to Equatorial Line & Pucará de Rumichuco.

At sixteen miles of the north of Quito it is the Equatorial Line Latitude 0°0’0”. This is your opportunity to be on the two hemispheres at the same time, with one foot on the northern hemisphere and one foot on the southern hemisphere. Have a pleasant time visiting this small complex full of culture. This tour includes a visit to one of the museums; you can choose either the Ethnographic Museum or the Solar Museum. Then, we will continue to the Ruins of Pucará de Rumicucho, a pre-Incan construction currently in restoration, after that, we will have an Ecuadorian lunch in a nearby restaurant or in the city of Quito.

Full day Cotopaxi

We will be traveling to the southern part of the highlands, through Los Chillos Valley and the “Volcanoes’ Avenue”, you can enjoy the marvelous view of the Cotopaxi one of the highest snow-capped volcanoes of the world and the crossing of rich valleys.

Cotopaxi National Park is 70 km (42 miles) away. Cotopaxi province is considered one of the wonderlands of Ecuador. It’s considered a National Park and an Ecuadorian Ecological Reserve. Its name in Quichua means The Sweet Neck of the Moon.

It is on the western mountain range and lies within an area of 36,000 acres, which make up the Cotopaxi National Park.

We are sure that this one day journey will fascinate you, especially since you will be able to admire both the beautiful “Limpiopungo” lagoon and the volcano which is one of the tallest active volcanoes of the World (5,897 m above sea level).

Afterwards you will have lunch at “La Ciénega”, which is a colonial farm or you can also enjoy your lunch at one of the old & nice Haciendas of the area.
