Centenario Park
It divides in two the avenue 9 de Octubre, in its central part is the column of the heroes, honoring in this way the heroes and mentalizadores of the historical Forge of Vulcano. In the column is transcribed the act of independence of the city of 9 of October of 1820.
Seminario Park
Known as “Iguanas Park”, because the habitat of a large number of this species, which is about 43 species among flora and fauna that exist in it.
In its center stands the first equestrian statue of the Liberator Simon Bolivar. Of marked European style without a doubt, it is one of the most traditional parks in the city.
CHURCHES
Cathedral
It is located in the center of Guayaquil, on the Chimborazo Avenue between Diez de Agosto and Clemente Ballén. It is of Neo-Gothic style and was built in the year 1936.
Sto. Domingo Church
Located a few blocks from Barrio Las Peñas, it is the oldest temple that owns the city, founded in 1548, by the order of the Dominicans. Due to multiple fires it was rebuilt several times.
La Merced Church
Neo-Gothic style located on Av. Victor Manuel Rendón and Pedro Carbo was inaugurated in 1936.
San Francisco Church
Located on Av. 9 de octubre and Pedro Carbo. It is of Neo-Classic style and was inaugurated in the year 1902.
