Manatee Cruise in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest
The Ship
An expedition cruise by its nature is characterized by the adventure and unpredictability of the moment, not for that reason the safety of our passengers and our crew is no longer paramount for us. The Manatee Amazon Explorer is fully equipped to face the most challenging conditions and circumstances in addition to the impeccable handling of experienced and responsible hands of our managers and crew.
The canoes used for daily visits to the exploration sites are resistant and versatile, they are operated responsibly by experienced personnel. You will be fully informed on board about all matters pertaining to safety as well as environmental policy, passengers also receive adequate and detailed reports before each landing.
Exploring the Amazon
This is a journey that takes us into the infinite green of biodiversity that stretches for miles in the impressive Amazon basin. As we will detail later, nature teaches us that the best way to travel through all its magical paths is through a unique and different alternative means, journey that becomes the compendium of change and diversity. This inspiring adventure we propose offers many unexpected possibilities, full of amazing visions of magical wet forests in the Cuyabeno Nature Reserve. We cross the Yasuní National Park (the largest in Ecuador), which appears wild and indomitable, we cross the gentle waters of Pañacocha (lagoon of piranhas). We climbed observation towers to enjoy an unsurpassed perspective, we navigate rivers of sewage in the middle of the jungle. We walk along winding paths that lead us to know the sacred villages of the deepest Ecuadorian Amazon.
