TRAVELTIPS, conscious about the new reality for travelers is actively participating in the national task force that is endorsing new standards to become COVID-19 compliant. This logistical network involves local and sectional governments, airports, hotel associations, restaurants, and domestic Airlines, as well as private land Operations and products.
Ground Transportation
Guides:
- It is mandatory the use of Personal protective equipment: face mask, gloves, hand sanitizer, alcohol.
- Not shaking hands or touching passengers.
- Salutation has to be done only by gestures and taking a distance from passengers.
- Guide and driver do not shake hands with guests, respect physical distancing, never less than 6 feet
- If any passenger needs assistance to walk or handling their carry-on, guide must first ask the passenger if wants to be helped.
Drivers:
- It is mandatory the use of Personal protective equipment: face mask, gloves, hand sanitizer, alcohol.

- To open car doors, driver/guide has to do it using disinfection procedures. To help passengers getting in or out the vehicle, may use the forearm.
- Disinfection of vehicle interior hard surfaces at least 4 times daily (be sure cleaning process is visible to guests), every time paxs go in/out the vehicle.
- High touch areas of vehicle (door handles, armrests, railings, window buttons, etc) disinfected often (be sure cleaning process is visible to guests)
Vehicles:
- All vehicles will be subject to regular, rigorous disinfection protocols before and after each Service.
- Our vehicles will be equipped with hand sanitizers, masks, disposable wet towels and alcohol, available free of charge to guests at all times
- Spaces in the car will be adjustable considering the recommended distances, and so on:
- SUV & SEDAN: 1 to 2 passengers only
- Mini Vans H1or similar: up to 4 passengers
- Mid size vans: up to 7 passengers
- Large Vans: up to 10 passengers
- Mini bus: up to 16 passengers
- Large Bus: up to 22 seated passengers.
Luggage handling:
- Luggage up to 7 passengers will be taken in same vehicle.
- Luggage helper or driver will take care of it, following disinfection procedures before placing them inside the vehicle.
- For more than 7 paxs, luggage will be handled by a separate team traveling in support vehicles.
All staff will be subject to regular health check-ups.
Hotels:
Each hotel in town has been working in their own sanitary procedures. When requesting a hotel reservation, we will send the selected hotel procedures .
Restaurants:
- Selected Restaurants in town are working on distance-spaced table distribution. Personal space between tables and among users will be guaranteed.
- Change to high quality small/local farm to table restaurants for included meals. Remove all medium/large capacity restaurants
- Adjust restaurant seating to utilize smaller/distanced tables rather than 1 large table with all guests seated together. ( for groups)
- Adjust timing to make meals shorter to reduce time in restaurants.
- Ensure masks and gloves worn by servers at restaurants whenever possible
- No Buffet meals allowed. A la carte only or set menu with 4 or more main course choices.
Although we know that the current situation is uncertain, these procedures will help enhancing our protocols, but are not definitive measures. We will keep revising them according to the new normality that we will be facing. It is our commitment to continue monitoring the social behaviour and the local government decisions, and to readjust anything we need to guarantee the visitors´ and our collaborators´ safety.
