Christmas Events in Guayaquil

These are some of the events that will be held in Guayaquil for the Christmas Holidays.

Last Wednesday, a 13-meter-high Christmas tree with a led light tunnel in the Plaza de la Administracion was inaugurated in Pichincha and Clemente Ballen, with 2500 meters of hoses with led lights and 250,000 lights.

 

Friday 6th

18:30. Switch on of the lights of the Christmas tree on the Malecon del Salado with live show, photos with Santa Claus with the first garden of lights.

 

Saturday 7th

11:00. Christmas Festival on Av. 9 de Octubre with artistic shows. The Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of France College and other activities to promote the pedestrian use of Av. 9 de Octubre will be presented. The event will be repeated on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the same avenue, from Pedro Carbo Street to Boyaca.

18:00. Christmas parade called “Christmas Caravan of Santa Claus” on the Malecon Simon Bolivar. The parade with Christmas characters starts at Sucre Street next to the Moorish Tower to Loja Street.

 

Friday the 13th

20:30. “Christmas Dream”, a musical play with dancers of the Yesenea Mendoza Artistic Center, next to the Christmas tree at Malecon the Simon Bolivar.

 

Saturday 14th

4:00 p.m. Parade of led lights “Guayaquil is my Destination at Christmas”. There will be two stages, the first begins at 4:00 p.m. with six allegorical floats from the municipal warehouse of Las Esclusas Avenue, goes along the 25 de Julio Avenue until reaching the Centennial Square, on 9 de Octubre Av. and Lorenzo de Garaycoa . The second stage begins at 18:00 from the Centennial Square to the Malecon Simon Bolívar.

18:00. Exhibit of the allegorical floats in Malecon Simon Bolivar, between 9 de Octubre and Aguirre Street. They will be until 22:00. Then these floats will be located in the Administration Square until December 25th.

 

Sunday 15th

18:00. From December 15th to 23rd, the Christmas Novena will be held in the Plaza de la Administracion. Priests from various city churches will participate in this activity.
